Railway agent can book Tatkal ticket at 11.30am

Good news for all railway agents as now thy have chance to book Tatkal ticket after 11.30am just 30 minutes after the counter. For counter and individual taktal ticket station at 11am.

The new time for tatkal ticket stasts at 11am for sleeper class from june 15 2015.

AMENDMENT IN TATKAL SCHEME

At present, the booking under Tatkal scheme opens at 10-00 hrs. on the previous day of journey from train originating station.Railway Board (vide Commercial Circular No. 34 of 2015 dated 10-06-2015), has decided that with effect from 15th June, 2015, timing for booking of TATKAL TICKET will be staggered for AC and Non-AC classes to 10-00 hrs. Onwards and 11-00 hrs. Onwards respectively.

Hence, now the reservation under TatkalScheme will open at 10-00 hrs. on the previous day of journey from train originating station for AC classes, whereas that for non-AC classes will start at 11-00 hrs. on the previous day of journey from train originating station.

Further super session of all previous instructions now all types of ticketing agents [Yatri Ticket Sevak Kendra(YTSK), Rail Travel Service Agent(RTSA), Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation Ltd(IRCTC) agents, etc.] will be debarred from booking tickets during the first thirty minutes of opening of booking i.e. from 08-00 hours to 08-30 hours for general bookings, and from 10-00 hrs. to 10-30 hrs. and 11-00 hrs. to 11-30 hrs. for Tatkalbooking in AC and Non-AC classes respectively.
